Since there are no events to cover (or even hangouts with friends too turn into editorials), I thought it would be nice to finally write an essay on one of my most requested garments: my custom suit from Ascot Chang, cut from blue Crispaire.
I went through the commissioning experience over a year ago, so my memory might be fuzzy and there aren’t as many detailed pics, but I hope you all enjoy it. It was rather nice to walk through memory line and revisit what it was like to get one of the best (and highest quality) suits I own.
I finally made a list of my favorite menswear spots I go to here in Southern California. I may not buy anything every time, but it’s always great to check in and see how Menswear is doing!
It’s been a while since I’ve had trousers made for me. MTO to be precise, but hey, who’s askin?
Had some Holiday fun with the SoCal menswear scene at one of my favorite, if not only, classic menswear stores in Los Angeles! It also happened to be the site of the seasonal Ring Jacket trunk show, which I had always wanted to check out.

Just as Benoit Blanc arrives at the truth as if by looking for the “terminus of gravity’s rainbow”, you probably expected me to analyze the menswear in this fun movie.
And by the way TLJ/Rian Johnson haters can fuck off; he’s great!

Oh man. Nothing like two (nearly) back to back events filled with meat and negronis. LA had its hands full of menswear this past weekend!
Wrinkly, hefty, and slouchy cotton is one of my favorite materials of all time. Having it made up as a suit is a no-brainer.
