It’s time to start doing a new feature here on Street x Sprezza and that’s Q & As! I know some of you have got some Q’s and I’ll try my best to supply the A’s. This first one comes to me from Jacob, a reader who is concerned about finding a jacket that fits from eBay! Since I buy a lot of my clothes online, I thought it best to tell him my process for buying these vintage pieces. Here’s a hint: it’s all in the shoulders and length.
Now that we can agree that pleats are cool, it’s time to try them out. I noted in my previous article that it is difficult to obtain pleated pants with the necessary details (high rise, slim-straight). So when I was presented with an opportunity to try and tailor down some 1980’s baggy, double pleated pants, I took it. If it worked out, I may have found a way to get pleated pants at an affordable price! If not, I’ll be out a few bucks, but I know it can’t be done. Let’s find out!

It’s about dang time I talked about this. You’d think I wouldn’t have to dedicate an entire post to this but I guess I’m going to have to. In this article we explore just how you’re supposed to button your suit jacket or blazer. It’s really simple.
A question I get asked most often is where I get all my clothes. The second most asked question is how do I afford it. While its true dressing well can be expensive, it’s only expensive when you go for high end products and never shop sales. Here, I’m going to explain to you some of the tricks of the trade I’ve used to amass my wardrobe. Just remember that my style is very affordable.
Look at the picture above. Jeremiah, on the right, looks like how I dress now, and I look like a guy who has no idea what he’s doing. I just slapped on some colors together with no regard to how it clashes or flows. People assume that I’ve always been stylish and always knew how to dress up, but they’re dead wrong. When I first came to college, I wore shorts and tee shirts and was a freshman who had no sense of identity and no sense of style. Eventually I realized that since I’m in college, I can be who I want to be and dress how I want to dress. It took a while, but I’m still not there yet. I’m constantly trying new things, tailoring my clothes, and I’m in this journey of self discovery with my style. However, there are a few things that I’ve learned since my freshman year that would’ve saved me so much time in being who I am.
Just like there is a difference between types of shoes, types of Mexican food, and types of sexuality, there is a difference between a suit, a blazer, and a tuxedo. And it’s mindblowingly simple. With this knowledge, you’ll be able to know what type of clothes you need and you’ll be able to communicate what you want when you’re out shopping.
