I don’t know what you expected- this [free] blog is done mainly by me (Ethan) with a bit of contributions from Spencer (mainly in the form of pushback and a few inspo photos). But that’s what makes it fun. Each of us has our own style and approach to classic menswear, which certainly comes through in the variety of essays and images on this site. Ethan –Writer/Photographer
Ethan is a hobbyist photographer and vintage & contemporary menswear enthusiast who currently works at a creative media agency. His own take on fashion has its roots in various historical styles like Apparel Arts and ivy-trad, all while including contemporary pieces and styling. This approach, in conjunction with a love for creative hobbies and orchestral music results in a unique philosophy on classic menswear.
Spencer – Contributor
Spencer is a journalism student from Orange County who has been collecting vintage clothing since his freshman year of high school. Although his wardrobe consists primarily of pieces from the 1930s-1950s, he is slowly building a collection of contemporary, ivy inspired pieces. He source images for the blog and co-hosts the companion podcast, Style and Direction, which in turn inspires quite a few essays on this site. In his free time, he enjoys studying history and political theory (fucking nerd).

It’s hard to find that RTW! But j.crew has started making some higher waisted stuff. You could also try to see Ralph lauren or RRL. My MTM wool suits are from Hall Madden so you could also try to meet with them and see if they can make it for you!
Other wise, check out stuff like Ring Jacket or Spier and mackay!

I appreciate the work and effort you put into this. I have recently discovered your blog. Since I have more recently become aware and concerned with my own clothing and style it is has been a great help.
