Dressing Like Drake’s: Denim, Sportcoat, and Sweater Vest
Drake’s London is one of my favorite RTW companies that I’ve discovered during the course of my blogging. I think I’ve mentioned it many times (here especially), but their ties are probably the closest I’ve seen to 1930’s style ones especially due to the fact that they are usually untipped with handrolled edges. Overall, I’ve been a fan of the Drake’s style and I decided to dress in their style for this blog post! Not every brand (or blog) can advocate these three pieces to be worn together: a sportcoat, denim, and a sweater vest.
Our Casual Style at the Walt Disney Concert Hall
The last time I went into downtown Los Angeles, I shot some new friends and wore some classic menswear, ranging from ivy style to a modern interpretation of 1930’s tailoring. Experimentation: The J. Crew Onitsuka Tiger
I’ll admit that sneakers weren’t always my thing. At first, I looked down upon sneakers as a plebian shoe, only meant for people who couldn’t handle suits and dressy clothes. Then I matured and learned through GQ and MFA that sneakers are actually very versatile and can work with a lot of different outfits. My first real foray into the sneaker world was the Nike killshot. For my second sneaker purchase, I went back to J. Crew and got their Onitsuka Tiger in navy blue suede. At $50 bucks, it’s my new favourite sneaker.

It’s pretty much summer time here in SoCal! And for most guys, that means resorting to a simple t-shirt and shorts. Now there’s nothing wrong with that, but this weather doesn’t mean you have to only stick with that! In this post, we’re gonna show you how to break out your blazers and suits and look cool and classy this summer! I even wear the same shoes in each outfit to show just how diverse these shoes are. Big thanks to Banana Republic for putting them on sale so I can buy them!
Dressing Down Your Suit Trousers
With the exception of tuxedos, I believe that there is no distinction between “formal” and “casual” clothes; everything you own should be simply be articles to create any look you want. With a suit, you great two great pieces: the suit jacket and the trousers. In this post, we focus on leaving your jeans at home and walking out in your suit pants! Just because they’re suit pants doesn’t mean you have to dress fancy; you can dress them down!
