I always advocate trying to make menswear look natural and easy by taking dorky pictures. Especially if it’s in the cool, LA Arts District. It’s just nice to be dressed up with your friends, acting like yourselves instead of as models who are paid to hold a bottle of soda.

This past weekend, I attended the second Gooch Collective event as both a normal attendee and as their impromptu photographer. I can always count on these talented brothers to get me out of the house on a weekend.

The bi-annual weekend event has come again! In this article, I recount my Dapper Day Expo experience (like I did last time) by documenting some of my colleague’s great style and even give you a little sneak peak into the menswear presentation I did with Spencer.
Snapshots at The Bloke’s Launch Party
I know we’ve already posted an article for the week, so here’s a little bonus content. I was invited to go to the official launch of The Bloke, LA’s latest haberdashery, and it was a gas. I never get to go to events like this!
Classic Style in Downtown LA, ft. Jacob and Nicholas
I’m an LA native, but I don’t take advantage of it. I’ve been to LACMA and a few other cool spots, but never the Broad, which is right in Downtown LA near the Walt Disney Concert Hall and MOCA. Seeing as I had a free day with Anthony (who is originally from D.C and had never been to the West Coast), I decided to take him there to do some shooting and look at some fantastic artwork. Luckily, we were also joined by classic style enthusiasts Jacob and Nicholas. The resultant pictures were amazing.
Style at Inspiration LA
This weekend, Spencer and I went to Inspiration LA, a huge vintage gathering in Southern California. At the REEF in Downtown Los Angeles, multitudes of dealers selling vintage apparel, reproduction garments, and other crafts come together to present their wares to the public.
