NYE Eve Attire at the Cicada Club
On New Year’s Eve, I’m usually in pajamas playing video games. The night before, however, I’m in a vintage tuxedo, hanging out with my friends at the Cicada Club.

I don’t go out drinking often (if at all), but when I do, it’s with people who like vintage fashion.
This weekend, the guys and I decided to check out the latest LA destination for classic menswear: the Bloke. This is going to be a long post.
Just saw the 1967 film The Graduate and I knew I had to do a post based on Benjamin (played by Dustin Hoffman) and his wonderful ivy style.
Deals are always great, especially when you’re a menswear enthusiast who doesn’t make make very much money. I honestly think that this is on par with my $3 chalkstripe suit, just by comparing cost to value. It’s probably because this is an amazing modern piece that retails for over $1k.

We’ve been talking about eBay a lot lately, thanks to the 3 for $75 deal and the recent vintage Brooks Brothers sack suit. Even though eBay is highly curated (which makes it easy to find cool vintage pieces), nothing beats the thrill of hunting for cool stuff at thrift stores like Goodwill or Savers. My latest pick up was this amazing, almost-deadstock olive green sack jacket!
While I have gotten extremely lucky buying suits at Goodwill, eBay always seems to hold up, especially if you want something ivy! Unlike 1930’s suits or modern Ring Jacket suits, vintage pieces from the 1960s-1970s tends to be fairly cheap and readily available. This amazing mid-to-late 1960s suit from Brooks Brothers is no exception and perfect for spring! I actually got this suit done a while ago and only recently got around to shooting it now. Read More
Much to everyone’s surprise, it took me a few weeks to actually see La La Land, a story about two struggling artists pursuing their dreams in Los Angeles. Sounds pretty familiar, right? After seeing the film (which I loved by the way), I decided to write this article, which goes into Ryan Gosling’s (or his character Sebastian or “Seb”) style and attire in the film. Since the film is currently in theaters, the pictures I have included are pulled from paparazzi or BTS images, but I’ll be sure to update them with actual screenshots once its available. I’ll try to keep my article about the clothes, but there might be spoilers so beware!
I’m an LA native, but I don’t take advantage of it. I’ve been to LACMA and a few other cool spots, but never the Broad, which is right in Downtown LA near the Walt Disney Concert Hall and MOCA. Seeing as I had a free day with Anthony (who is originally from D.C and had never been to the West Coast), I decided to take him there to do some shooting and look at some fantastic artwork. Luckily, we were also joined by classic style enthusiasts Jacob and Nicholas. The resultant pictures were amazing.
