The bi-annual weekend event has come again! In this article, I recount my Dapper Day Expo experience (like I did last time) by documenting some of my colleague’s great style and even give you a little sneak peak into the menswear presentation I did with Spencer.
I know we’ve already posted an article for the week, so here’s a little bonus content. I was invited to go to the official launch of The Bloke, LA’s latest haberdashery, and it was a gas. I never get to go to events like this!

One of the questions I get from guys who have come across my style is “why do you like vintage”? Well the truth of the matter is, I don’t always like to wear vintage. There are a few things that modern manufacturers get right that I enjoy (extremely soft tailoring is one). If I had the money, I could possibly have an entire bespoke wardrobe. However there’s one main reason why I always return to vintage and that’s due to the details that they just don’t do anymore.

Vintage, pre-1970’s brown herringbone sack suits from Brooks Brothers are pretty hard to come by. Well, Spencer and I found two!
Time to start a new feature on this blog: Ethan’s grails. The star of this inaugural piece is a fantastic suit with the cut and designs I’ve been obsessed with ever since I got into vintage menswear. I may just have to get it replicated (with updated fit details).
This weekend, the guys and I decided to check out the latest LA destination for classic menswear: the Bloke. This is going to be a long post.
