Hey Tim here! (it’s been a while since I’ve written something here SORRY) As our school year comes to a close here at La Sierra University, we wanted to have one last look at the groomed and well-dress here on campus. Our finds this week feature some of the movers and shakers that contribute and make up a big part of our campus, such as our very own President Wisbey and Pastor Sam!
This year, Rajesh and I decided to design our own line for REVO, our university’s annual fashion show for charity. Because it’s already May, we focused our line on spring menswear! We wanted to show people that what we create is wearable on a daily basis and isn’t restricted to just staying on the runway. So in addition to styling our models we also created something so hipster and awesome: our own unique line of neckties.
Here at SxS, we want to show you a variety of personal styles so you can see that while most of us do dress up, we do it in certain ways that make it distinctly unique to us! For this feature, we took some pictures of what the Team and some contributors were wearing this past week and made a post! Let us know which your favourite outfit was!
Guys tend to have one style. Raj for example, only sticks to the preppy essentials. Jay on the other hand doesn’t limit himself to just one specific style; he has such an expansive closet that he can create a series of different looks. Having a diverse style allows you to break out of your comfort zone and have outfits for any occasion. In this feature, Jay wears three different outfits that really break the mold.

It is my belief that the rise of menswear in this modern era has its roots in the critically-acclaimed show “Mad Men”. Guys started wearing suits more, putting a pocket square in that razor thin square fold, and even brought the fedora back in some circles. A while ago, I had the pleasure of shooting Spencer and Jay, the most well dressed high schoolers I know. They love the show and carefully evoke the style in their outfits. As we had a swell dinner at South Coast Plaza, I just had to snap some pictures of these guys!
I love when someone has not just one style, but a variety of different styles. Antonella is no exception. When I first got to know her, I was surprised that she was actually interested in vintage fashion. As we kept talking I realized that she was a fellow fashionista and I’m glad we finally get to have her as our Wearable Women Wednesday! One big question I get asked often is “do you even wear t-shirts”. Usually the question implies two things: that I am incapable of dressing down and that a t-shirt is reserved for being ultra-casual or lazy. I don’t wear suits everyday, yet most people associate me with them. This is true of Vivianna; she’s often associated with dark colours. In fact, she was in our Campus Search Tuesday pulling off an all-black look. But she doesn’t do it often.
